A bumper special for the very first episode as Nick talks to not one but TWO guests – music journalist and broadcaster Cheri Percy & illustrator and drummer Fliss Kitson who performed ferocious feminist punk music in and around Norwich under the name Violet Violet. Cheri and Fliss talk all about how they went from forming for a battle of the bands contest to touring the States, playing sessions at Maida Vale studios and picking up eccentric fans along the way. We also hear about the duo’s theatrical streak which began with them performing at their school’s Christmas panto and culminated in a final gig at a puppet theatre.
